Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America (TEMA), Inc. recently celebrated 15 years of operations in this region
at the home of Future World Productions, a Cincinnati-based non-profit performing arts organization for youth. Since 1997,
TEMA has donated $171,000 to Future World, mainly toward a scholarship program for participants ages 7-20. As part of the
celebration, Future World was presented a Toyota check for $15,000. In addition, live performances from current and past
participants took place at the group’s home in Bond Hill. TEMA has a long history of supporting numerous non-profit
organizations in the region. Since 1996, nearly $25 million has been given to deserving groups. Also, in the last seven years,
TEMA team members have donated 45,000 hours to volunteer efforts. “We are extremely proud to call this region home,” said
Shigeki Terashi, TEMA president and a managing officer for Toyota Motor Corp. “In many ways, this operation is the engine that
helps run all our plants in North America.”
